PEER OBSERVATION. Liaison work between Dawson Active Learning Community and Nursing Department: peer observation project (active learning)

Dawson Classroom Peer Observation Project
This project was started in the fall of 2016 (ongoing) as part of Dawson Active Learning Community (DALC) fellowship. The main objective of this project is to develop a bridge between DALC and the faculty in the nursing program.  This involved identification of expert teachers in AL and matching them with the nursing teachers who wanted to change their teaching practice and to implement active learning strategies into their classrooms. Teachers observe experts in AL classrooms and use the classroom observation tool to record activities in the classroom.  (developed by Marianopolis College peer observation project team).  Reflection on Peer Observation in Active Learning classroom is completed by teachers who are observers.
