Engaged Community of Teachers - AI: Axioms, Activities, and Assessments (Roundtable Discussion)

April 23, 2026 | 12:00 - 1:15 PM Virtual

Are you an AI advocate or adversary? While we may be apprehensive towards AI usage, employers and universities are expecting a certain threshold of AI literacy post-CEGEP. This session is a roundtable discussion on what we do and do not do in our classrooms regarding AI. There are two goals we intend to accomplish in this roundtable: 1) work collaboratively to educate one another on our educational philosophies and technical knowledge concerning AI, and 2) curate a list of AI activities and assessments that can be shared with our colleagues in the reseau, separated by three distinct categories of discipline: a) social sciences/humanities, b) STEM, and c) career programs.

The central question of this roundtable is: “How can we meaningfully incorporate AI while still ensuring students are acquiring the subject matter?

Open to: Aimed at early career teachers (teachers in their first five years of cegep teaching) but open to all levels of experience, educational roles and institutions.

Mode: Online via Teams.
