Early Career Teacher Sessions - Integrating AI into the Classroom

September 11, 2024 | 12:30 - 1:45 PM Virtual

About this event

Are you interested in experimenting with the use of Gen AI in the classroom but are unsure where to start? This workshop is for you. It will briefly discuss some key AI ethical issues to share with students, provide practical tips and resources for introducing students to Generative AI (Gen AI), how to use Gen AI models, and how to cite its use properly. It will also provide resources on creating your own classroom GenAI use policy. Most importantly, time will be devoted to hands-on experimentation with Gen AI, as participants learn how to create effective prompts and iterate to get the best results.

Open to: Aimed at early career teachers (teachers in their first five years of cegep teaching) but open to all levels of experience, educational roles and institutions.
