André Correa

André Corrêa holds a PhD in Education with a specialization in state policy and human development from Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Brazil. Since 2014, he has been a professor at Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia (IFSP), São Paulo, Brazil. His main research interests include the sociology of science, teacher training, and digital information and communication technologies. André is currently doing a postdoctorate in sociology at UQAM, under the supervision of Professor Pierre Doray. His postdoc research aims to analyze the distribution of scientific capital among research topics in the field of education in Brazil. André also plays the clarinet and studied music at UFSCar (Brazil). His specialty is Brazilian music, especially Choro or Chorinho – an instrumental musical genre.
