Join us for Day 3 hosted by Michael Dugdale (John Abbott College)
– June 11th @ 3:30-5:00 pm

We have had a wonderful turn out for the virtual Town Hall meetings, hosted by SALTISE and the DALC (Dawson Active Learning Community). These are not the regular webinar, they are structured to strengthen community building as we discuss how to better prepare for a fall semester filled with uncertainty.

  • Day 1 hosted by Jim Slotta (UofT, OISE) and Elizabeth Charles (Dawson College & SALTISE).
  • Day 2 hosted by Chris Whittaker (Dawson College & DALC).

Now Day 3

Topic: Inter-Institutional Practical: Balancing the online Flipped Class

A flipped class means that students are being asked to do activities before, during and after class. In an online class, these activities can be synchronous or asynchronous – which makes it all the more difficult to know how to balance it all. How much is too much pre-class work and how much of it can be asynchronous?? This session will centre on how best to balance it all. Come and listen to peers from across the spectrum of institutions that make up SALTISE and share your thoughts and experiences.
