Engaged Community of Teachers - Digital Technology for Neurodivergent Learners
This workshop looks at some of the barriers and challenges that students who are neurodivergent (dyslexic, autistic, ADHD, etc.) might face in their college studies, and at some of the digital tools that might support their learning. It focuses on digital tools that are available for free and on accessibility features of software to which students already have access, many of which offer benefits to neurotypical students as well. Participants will learn about teaching strategies that foster the use of these tools and ensure compatibility with tools that students might be using. They may even learn about some tools that will be helpful to them in their own work!
