How aware are you of cybersecurity risks in your work as a learning professional? Whether or not we realize it, we all deal with large amounts of data in our professional activities, much of it belonging to others.

During this webinar, cybersecurity specialist Mahmoud Gad will share some insight on his experience dealing with large-scale threats.

We’ll then discuss ways that we can work together towards a cybersafe college network.

Senior cybersecurity advisor, Canadian Federal Government

Mahmoud is a senior cybersecurity advisor for the Canadian Federal Government specializing in helping organizations to understand and manage their cybersecurity risk. This includes advising on cybersecurity risk management, compliance, cybersecurity strategy, high-assurance systems, machine learning applications in cybersecurity, and cyber-physical systems.

Prior to joining the Canadian Federal government, Mahmoud held different positions in startups, research institutions, and joint international research programs across different industries in Canada and the U.S.

Mahmoud holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa and an M.Sc. from the University of Maryland in College Park, United States.
