Science Instruction using active learning pedagogy and computer simulations.
We are currently examining the role of online computer simulations in teaching of basic neurophysiology. Neurophysiology is based firmly in biophysics and therefore can represent a challenge for life science students. We are evaluating the effectiveness of online simulations (e.g. PhET) as a means of reinforcing student intuition about physical phenomena.
