Faculty - Psychology
Kevin Casey, Ph.D. (Neuroscience, McGill), completed a postdoctoral fellowship at CHU Sainte-Justine and is currently a research associate at the Douglas Hospital.
He has taught psychology at Vanier College since 2013. In the classroom he pursues evidence-based pedagogy and learning technologies, from flipped courses and online labs to mastery-based learning in Moodle. He has a longstanding interest in games as teaching tools and is now exploring the integration of AI in pedagogy. His current focus is establishing mentorship programs that help CEGEP technology students develop transversal (soft) skills.
Kevin is currently working to make SALTISE’s existing materials, such as active learning activities and courseflows, more accessible to the community. He is building an AI interface to help users define their learning goals, suggest SALTISE materials that might help, and tailor these activities to their particular classroom needs.
