Twenty-five conference-goers went on an interactive tour of the Active Learning Classrooms at McGill University, Champlain College and Dawson College. The workshop highlighted the pedagogical relevance of space (e.g. room design) and technology (e.g SMART boards), as well as important steps to take and issues to consider in designing and using Active Learning Classrooms. Participants got some hands on experience in Dawson’s groundbreaking Active Learning Classroom which features 6 “pods” and 8 SMART boards.
