The Fellows Program adopts a faculty learning community model, supporting instructors as they collaborate to build and share knowledge. Fellows engage in enriching and extending SALTISE-sponsored projects, while also exploring opportunities for future collaborations aligned with the organization’s mission. Using principles-based methods and innovative research-informed tools like myDALITE, CourseFlow, Visual Classroom, and Perusall, Fellows produce course materials, lesson plans, guidelines, and best practices that contribute to the SALTISE website and reflect their growing expertise.
Read Less -Collaboration is at the heart of the program, with Fellows working closely with SALTISE staff and each other to coordinate contributions, plan events, and create professional development opportunities. Through peer mentorships, workshops, and seminars, they share their knowledge within their local institutions and across the SALTISE network, fostering communities of practice and promoting continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Reflecting on their work is a vital aspect of the program. Fellows engage in rich and discursive conversation and feedback, allowing for the development of deep insights and ongoing self-improvement that is demonstrated in their projects and resources, often culminating in presentations at the SALTISE Annual Conference. These efforts not only highlight their dedication to advancing pedagogical practices but also inspire others within the SALTISE community to embrace innovative teaching approaches.
