As a reminder, the deadline for submitting Presentation Proposals for the 2017 SALTISE conference and Nominations for the SALTISE “Best Practices & Pedagogical Innovators Award” is March 27, 2017.
SALTISE is pleased to announce that its 2017 Conference will be held on June 5, 2017 at Concordia University The theme of this year’s event is “Interconnecting Design and Assessment: New frontiers for engaging the learner”
As 2016 draws to a close we take this opportunity to thank you for being part of the SALTISE Community. It’s been another great year and we owe much of this to your continued support and commitment.
In December 2013, Dawson College, John Abbott College and la Faculté des sciences de l’éducation de l’Université de Montréal signed an agreement that enables college professors involved in research on the teaching and learning of their discipline to pursue doctoral studies at UdeM.
The 5th Annual Conference was a great success with record attendance, over 250 participants. Responses to our post-conference survey highlight the value in the presentations and talks as well as the opportunities for intellectual exchange and networking with colleagues.
This year our SALTISE program will be better than ever with over 40 exciting presentations with submissions coming from over 17 institutions, college and university, local, national and international institutions.
SALTISE is pleased to announce that its 2016 Conference will be held on June 3, 2016 at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). The theme of this year’s event is “Designing Instruction for Learning: Blending pedagogy, technology and space”.

Once again this summer the SALTISE community will be hosting a one-day event on the theme of: “Bridging knowing how with knowing why: Scaling the ladder of practical knowledge and pedagogical theory.” This year’s conference promises to be the best one yet!

We can hardly believe it’s already the middle of May. While the days have been getting longer, the month has seemed shorter, which is probably due to the fact that our Conference Committee has been hard at work planning for our June 10th & 11th events.
Spring is finally here and with it begins the Conference Season! This April’s newsletter is a Special Issue aimed at helping you take advantage of the many opportunities offered over the next two months as Montreal becomes conference central.
